The Conference & Call for Papers


The conference will take place June 23–25, 2017 at the Granville Island Hotel in Vancouver, BC. The intent is to gather leading figures in the areas of moral psychology and language to address the following question: Does moral thought and language have representational purport? Additional details regarding the conference may be found here.

Associated with the conference is a special issue of the Canadian Journal of Philosophy on Representation and Evaluation. Papers from the conference will comprise roughly half the special issue, with additional contributions coming from a general call for papers. Submissions must be received by June 15, 2017. Presenters and contributors include: Matthew Chrisman, David Copp, James Dreier, William FitzPatrick, Joshua Gert, Anandi Hattiangadi, Terry Horgan & Mark Timmons, Max Kölbel, and Laura Schroeter & Francois Schroeter. Editors of the special issue are Matt Bedke and Stefan Sciaraffa.
